"KATRINA"

This storm was awful and i feel so sorry for all those poor folks that were hit by it...I saw on tv that poor man crying cause he lost his wife and the reporter was about to cry too-there are probably tons of storys like his...Its amazing what wind and rain can do-it just proves that tomorrow is not a givin-my friend Lacey emailed us today and they are fine at her moms house but they are having a hard time getting thru on their phones but her aunt and uncle went back to their place near new orleans and said that the place where Lacey lives-kenner-was really flooded and has lots of damage-I know all those folks are dying to get back home to see what has happened to their home but it probably will be a long time til they can go back...such ashame!!! My brother is leaving tomorrow with his job to go help out-he doesnt know yet where they will be going-probably wont until they get there-if they can get there...
My dad found out yesterday that one of his high school friends was one of the people killed near Miami when Katrina went thru there the other day-he doesnt know what happened to him yet!!
We are actually getting stormed on right now pretty good-its nasty outside!! You know after last year what we went thru with the hurricanes-it is soooo damn scary-the whistling of the wind just scares you to the bone and seeing debri flying around and the trees bending and snapping like their toothpicks-its just so scary-i think its the sound of the wind and the roar that scared us the most...I can only imagine what these poor people went thru...Our poor lil gulfport miss. is gone-i cant even think about all of the jobs lost and i hate it when they call all those people in shelters "refugees"-that just bugs me for some reason-they are people who went thru something horriable and probably lost their belongings etc...and might be homeless now but "refugees"? that just seems like a foreign name....they just showed all those poor people sitting on their roofs waiting for help...I wonder what happens to all the livestock in these kinds of things-poor lil animals...its just so sad...
