KAYAK
At 2006-07-06 on 12:03 a.m.
The day before my husbands surgery-last Wed. we went to the dealership to get another temp. tag for my van since my real one hadnt come in yet(next day it did of coarse)and Wes went with us cause we were going to get something to eat afterwards-wellll hubby made a pit stop at the army navy surplus store(that place is awesome)to look at their kayaks....He bought Wes one-its set up for fishing and cost over $700-it was his belated 21st b/day present-I guess hubby was trying to ease his pre-surgery nerves by going on a shopping spree and Wes was a happy boy :)
Sooo Wes went on his first kayak trip by himself which scared me to death-he has never been in one before blah blah blah-well he went to his fav. fishing area and sets his anchor and he hears this noise and he looks around-then it gets closer and he hears it again and he looks and right next to him was a whale-a friggin whale about to hit his lil kayak and blowing water out of his blow hole-lmao-Wes said he couldnt pull up his anchor fast enough and get away from it-he said afterwards it was like the coolest thing ever but at the time he was scared to death that it was going to hit him-he said it was about 25' long and had barnacles all on it-the place he goes fishing at you wouldnt think a whale would be there-yes its salt water but its in the waterways lil side area.....i could see him paddleing the heck out of there!! Me and hubby are thinking about getting one now....
Wes is the biggest PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN freak and he bought his tickets online for tomorrow/tonights viewing of the new one at midnight-the boy wont shut up about it-he is such a pirate at heart and when he dies he wants to be buried at sea-he wants to be made into a reef....
My brother had his back surgery on Monday and he is having a hard time with it-they did a lower back fusion and he is in a ton of pain-this is his 3rd back surgery and the worst by far..and of coarse they are wanting to send him home already and he cant even take a step yet without help-they need to put him in a rehab place like they did with his first surgery-theres no way that my mom can help lift him she has a real bad back and i know i cant either with my back(it runs in the family)....
We didnt do anything for the 4th-my aunt had a family reunion but she lives in orlando area and with doug working,my brother in the hospital and at the time not knowing what would happen to my husband-we had to tell them we werent coming...Hubby laid around all weekend and Mon. and Tues.-he wanted to make sure he didnt strain or hurt the area where they did his surgery....i was bored out of my mind which is usually the other way around-we did go shopping at the outlet mall on Sunday and got some good bargains-it was very crowded with all the peeps coming back thru after the races at Daytona or heading towards Disney!!
