we went to Texas....
At 2008-10-22 on 11:25 p.m.
We took our lil trip to Texas and had a really good time. We actually ended up driving instead of flying so we could see more of the world plus we as in me likes to drive better then fly-not scared of it it just messes up my vertigo super bad.....
We left on a Saturday morning-arrived in Gulfport/Biloxi MS later that day and they were having a really big classic car show and man there were some sporty old cars there...We then went to the casino for awhile then had dinner and by that time it was getting really late and all of the hotels in the area were booked up for the car show-so we drove a lil bit in town and found a hotel-there were a bunch of cars there reving their hot rods all night but it didnt bother us-what bother me was it was kind of a creepy place but I know hubby was tired so I didnt bitch and the rooms werent too bad-when we were walking to our room hubby stopped and said look to your right-which i did-which i should know better by now when he says that-there was a man who looked like walter matthau standing in his boxers at the window-i guress the hot rods woke him up-but i started laughing and said creeeeeeeeeeepy-and there was a guy standing by our room smoking and he said yea this place is kind of creepy and went on to tell us that something happened there last night and there were cops and emt and they had it taped off etc...and i was whispering to hubby "would you hurry up an open the friggin door"....we made it out alive :)
Then Sunday we drove all the way to San Antonio and got another room really late which i was asleep and when i woke up and went into the room all hell broke out-i yelled at my poor husband all night like you wouldnt believe-i couldnt touch anything in that place and i think i made it worse then what it really was but i was in no mood for another creepy hotel that was wosrt then the first one-i slept in my clothes an not under the covers and froze all night and bitched all night :) believe it or not i did shower in the morning and it wasnt that bad...hubby learned his lesson-he aint allowed to pick hotels late at night anymore-i dont need a 4 star room but i dont want bates motel either...
Monday morning we went to The Alamo and did the tourist thing and had a really good time-i loved san antonio-it was very pretty downtown-we did some shopping too and got everybody gifts...We left there and headed to Dallas and we made it in pretty good time and our hotel was much better and that was a good thing cause we were there all week...
Hubby went to his classes like he was suppose to and i went along and just sat in the car reading or texting away on my phone and he wasnt in there long so it wasnt bad at all...
Tuesday after he got done we went i think we went tothe big Gallaria Mall-it was a rainy day so it was a mall day and this mall has a Ice Skating rink in the middle of the mall which my Aunt Jean took us to when the mall first opened so it was a sad but happy memory day for me there....
Wednesday we went to SOUTHFORK where the show Dallas was filmed and did the tourist thing and we had fun-it was still raining that day but we had a good time-we got a lot of pictures that are posted over at myspace after we left there we went to the Bass Pro Shop and a outlets mall-it was a fun day...
Thursday we went to see all the President Kennedy stuff and which was really cool seeing all that history but sad...We did some driving around and found Gillys Bar but it wasnt open yet-dang it-didnt get to ride the bull-went to a few other places and shops then got something to eat and headed back to the hotel since we had to get up early and check out...
Over all we had a nice trip-i did have my dumb moments of coarse-like always-im really too friendly or have turrets...lol
the first night in Dallas we went to a lil mexican store to buy some 2 liters for the room instead of buying drinks out of the machine-well at the cash register that had this cute lil beer looking bottle decorated all pretty and i picked it up to see what it was and it said beer salt and i was like awww thats cute and the guy next to me said "all guys like that" and i said back to him "all guys like this?" and he started laughing and so no i was talking to her-there was a mexican whore behind him that he was talking to-lmao-we get outside and hubby says "do me a favor-please dont carry on a conversation with the crackheads and whores while we're in places we dont know"! lmao they really were selling drugs,they came running out of the bushes to sell stuff to people in their cars...
then when we went to Southfork the lady asked us if we were from the states and I said NO-i thought she meant were we from Texas-i wasnt paying attention to her i was looking at the stuff i was buying and my hubby shooked his head and said yes we're from the states we're from Florida and they all kind of started laughing and said well Florida is almost like being from a different country and I said wait a second look at Texas its pretty darn close to being close if not worst then Fl. and they said true!
We left Friday and my hubby had the great idea of sriving all the way back to Florida-which we did-and made it home around 3am Saturday-on the way thru MS we bought gas for 2.47 and drove down the street and it was at 2.27 it was amazing to see those prices-i wish they would get that low here...
That was our trip!! Came back with a sinus infection and ear ache and tons of laundry to do but thats life :)
